Chairman of the Board - Nina Williams

Nina is a native of Normangee, Texas and a graduate of Normangee High School. She moved to Houston after graduating high school and currently lives in Sugar Land, Texas with her husband Martin Williams. Nina founded the Louis C. Mays Scholarship Association in 1999, in honor of her late uncle Louis C. Mays and later founded Grace & Reconciliation Outreach Corporation in 2004. Nina is an artist, motivational speaker, writer and educator. Her expertise lies in the field of program development and marketing. Nina attended undergraduate and graduate school at the  University of Houston. In addition to operating G-ROC, Nina is employed at a major non-profit organization as a sales/marketing manager. She also retired from the United States Naval Reserves after serving 24 years, which included serving in the global war on terrorism; supporting Iraqi Freedom on several tours to the Middle East.

Secretary - Lemurle Garrett

Lemurle is a native of Normangee, Texas and a graduate of Normangee High School. She is employed as an educator at Houston Community College. Lemurle is also involved with multiple community outreach organizations. In addition to being an educator, she is a motivational speaker, where she uses her talents to minister to inmates at prisons as she is part of a large prison ministry; she also works with women in homeless shelters volunteering her time to do their hair and makeup. Lemurle is a licensed real estate agent and cosmetologist instructor.

Martin is a native of St. Paul, Minnesota. He is the president of M.T. Williams Enterprise, which conducts business internationally as well as in the United States. He is also a real estate investor. Martin’s expertise lies in finance and investing. Martin is a retiree of Shell Oil, where he worked for over 31 years. He volunteers extensively with the Saint Vincent DePaul Society to help the poor and needy and is a member of the Nights of Columbus at his church.

Alice Dewberry

Alice is a native of Normangee, Texas and a graduate of Normangee High School. She lived in California for over 18 years, where she attended college and worked for the Civil Service. Alice is also a community activist, with her primary focus being drug prevention and keeping kids out of the penal institution. In addition to volunteering her time with G-ROC, she works with youth organizations at Normangee I.S.D.

Erma Lott

Erma is a native of Normangee, Texas and a graduate of Normangee High School. After leaving Normangee and moving to Webster, Texas, her interest for the personal computer grew immensely as she sought employment at the Johnson Space Center. She became a word processor operator and developed a career in technical publications. Her expertise was recognized by NASA contractors, such as Ford Aerospace, McDonnell Douglas and Loral Space Systems. Later, as a Technical Proposal Manager with a myriad of responsibilities, she lead a diverse business development team to successful wins, all while traveling extensively for her company. After 30 years in the space industry, Erma retired from Lockheed Martin in 2009. After retiring, she fulfilled her dream of attending college at American Intercontinental University and graduating with an Associates of Arts degree in Business Administration. In her spare time, she enjoys photography and interior decorating. Erma is married to her high school sweetheart and they reside in Pearland, Texas.

Dorothy Peavy

Dorothy Peavy is a native of Austin, Texas. She currently resides in Houston, Texas. Dorothy was employed by Bechtel Engineering for over 20 years and was the lead document control specialist. She worked on several major projects, including the South Texas Nuclear Project. Dorothy has a combined total of 30 years in document control, and received several certifications. Since retiring, Dorothy devotes her time to volunteering at schools and assisting with senior citizens in her neighborhood and surrounding community. She is also very active at her church.

Michelle Harris

Michelle is a native of Port Arthur, Texas and spent the majority of her adolescent years in Wharton, Texas. She is married to Kenneth Harris and they reside in Houston, TX. Michelle is the founder of Secure Mortgage, where she and her husband co-operated the business for several years. She is also a licensed real estate agent and broker. Michelle volunteers her time giving housing seminars all throughout the city of Houston, as well as in rural areas to educate people about the wealth of resources available to help them buy homes. She has helped make dreams come true for hundreds of people who never thought they would be able to own the American dream.

Beverly Harvey

Beverly Harvey is a native of Normangee, Texas and a graduate of Normangee High School. She currently resides in Bryan, Texas. Her professional experience includes marketing at HEB, where she was responsible for making sure that customers were aware of the new products and incentives that HEB offered; kitchen management at Hilltop Lakes Resort where she increased business by 30% after taking over management of the restaurant, and she also ran her own cooking business for several years when living in Normangee.
